Hurricane Relief Soccer Camp

, Sports Quest sent a mission team to
Gulfport
,
Mississippi
in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Sports Quest partnered with
Henderson
Hills
Baptist
Church
out of
Edmond
,
Oklahoma
as well as with South Mississippi Soccer Club to help in the rebuilding efforts.
The team served in 2 capacities throughout the week. The mornings were spent reconstructing a “lost city” by re-roofing, painting, building and landscaping homes.
In the evenings, Sports Quest conducted soccer camps with the city’s youth aged between 5 and 18 years old.
Sports Quest was privileged to be given this unique ministry opportunity to provide a soccer camp filled with fun, excitement, and competition in order to relieve some of the stresses caused by Katrina.
