Soccer Blast 2006

Soccer Blast 2006 proved to be another successful community event hosted by Sports Quest and Westside Soccer Club!  Over 100 young players turned out to enjoy all kinds of soccer fun, including  small-sided games, competitions, relay races, parachute runs, speed kicks, a "Grab Bag" and much more!  As a special treat, representatives from Houston's new professional soccer team "Houston 1836" gave up their Saturday morning to provide ticket information as well as present "1836" T-shirts to lucky raffle winners!  Sports Quest's own free prize draw brought many smiles as winners went home with T-shirts, Admiral cleat bags, Admiral shoulder bags, soccer balls, a Snickers tent and a free camp certificate for summer 2006! Soccer Blast 2006 ended with free pizza for players, parents and coaches and volunteers...What a day!  Special thanks to Houston 1836, Soccer Centre, Double Dave's Pizza, Admiral Soccer, Westside Soccer Club, and the many volunteers who supported the special event.
