STYSA U10 / U12 Youth Module

Westside Soccer Club hosted its first STYSA Coaching Course on Saturday February 5 from 8.00 am through 4.00 pm.  Several Westside coaches and other area coaches participated in the U10 / U12 Youth Module organized by Westside.  STYSA Director of Coaching James Clarkson, along with Sports Quest's State Instructor Jim Spence, conducted the Module in 2 sessions:

Session 1...Lectures on the theory and methods of coaching (conducted at the Holiday Inn)
Session 2...Field work at Westside's prestigious fields in Bear Creek Park

The module proved to be a huge success, and will hopefully be the first of many coaching courses hosted by Westside Soccer Club.  Here is what one participating coach had to say (via email) after completing the course...

"James, I just wanted to thank you again for the great job you and Jim did this past weekend.  If it were not for you and your training staff, us volunteer coaches would not have the environment to succeed in.  One thing I do know is after the weekend, besides me being out of shape, the future of STYSA and youth soccer is in good hands."
